Puzzle of Ansinka and Viswanthakarma curse... Invented by kamal :P

Long long ago , in a fictional town called Dwarka, lived a sage called Viswanthakarma... There also lived the cunning Ansinka who was also the leader of underworld... There existed a shop in the outset of the town which was the only place where umbrella had been sold for the entire town.. There was a small wooden bridge to connect the town and the shop , over the Dwarka river, on which the umbrella curse was there.... That is, If any one carried more than one umbrella in any time, then Ansinka would swallow them alive..

It was a heavy rainy season.. Now Viswanthakarma's guru wanted him to buy an umbrella for his wife... Viswanthakarma had a rain curse hence he should never get drenched in rain which would turn him into a stone... So his guru gave him Mythological umbrella which he must return with safe.. Now the task of Viswanthakarma was he had to cross the bridge without getting wet and buy another umbrella from the shop and return both of them to his guru... But Viswanthakarma also knew the umbrella curse... He had to justify Ansinka that he had been carrying only one umbrella while crossing the bridge... The legend says He had successfully bought both the umbrella and neither did he get swallowed by Ansinka nor turned into stone... Can any one tell me how did he exactly cross the bridge...

In future, this paradox will have a greater value in Artificial Intelligence, prolog programming applications, machine learning etc... Hey i aint joking.. Its true and I know the answer since I drew this puzzle... :P

Again no stones and rotten eggs pls...
